McCain gets desperate and sinks to a new low

Recently, the McCain/Palin campaign has gone increasingly negative in its advertising and public statements, even claiming that Obama is "palling around with terrorists." On the wrong side of the issues and behind in the polls, they've clearly gotten desperate.

My question is simple: if there are legitimate concerns about Obama's character or fitness for the presidency, why hasn't McCain addressed them to Obama's face in either of the debates? If you're going to make accusations about somebody, you should at least be able to do so in person. McCain has not done that, and my guess is that he won't.

What he has done is pick a vice presidential candidate whose husband belonged to a group that advocates Alaska's succession from the Union, and who herself once spoke to the group and told them to "keep up the good work."

McCain and Palin are running a cynical, hypocritical, desperate and (ultimately) losing campaign. They should be ashamed of taking it in that direction.

Losing makes a person desperate.
