SARAH PALIN LOVER REVEALED!
http://www.nationalenquirer.com/national_enquirer_world_exclusive_sarah_palins_secret_lover_revealed/celebrity/65481

Considering the source, this is probably garbage ... but they did get the John Edwards thing right, didn't they?

Is Obama Another Dukakis?
http://www.slate.com/default.aspx?id=2200587

Why is Christopher Hitchens such an arrogant (and yet amazingly ignorant) ass?

Obama and McCain Stand Firm on Bailout
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/24/us/politics/24campaign.html

I'm glad they agree on this issue. I've come to accept that a bailout of some kind is inevitable ... but there has to be more oversight than that currently proposed by the White House ... and the text of the bill probably needs to be more than two freakin' pages.

'Angler: The Cheney Vice Presidency' by Barton Gellman'
http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/la-et-rutten24-2008sep24,0,4584267.story?track=ntothtml

I have mixed feelings about reading this book. I'm interested enough, sure -- but I also don't want to be so freaked out that I can't sleep for a week! Cheney is truly a frightening figure in American political history, and I would prefer not to see him in my nightmares ...

Palin's Big Oil infatuation
http://www.latimes.com/news/opinion/la-oe-kennedy24-2008sep24,0,1238333.story?track=ntothtml

RFKJr is on the right track with this one. Do we really need another four (or, God forbid, eight) years of the oil industry running the White House? Didn't think so.

Economic Fears Give Obama Clear Lead Over McCain in Poll
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/09/23/AR2008092303667.html

The truth is that Republicans simply don't manage an economy as well as Democrats do ... and this particular Republican candidate has already admitted that economics ain't exactly his strong suit. Just in case we doubted him, he proves it on the campaign trail every single stinkin' day.

Palin Sits Down With 2 Foreign Leaders
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/09/23/AR2008092303152.html

Well, now anybody who has shaken hands with Tony Blair and Margaret Thatcher has as much foreign policy "experience" as Sarah Palin. And it was really nice of the campaign to let the media in for a whole 29 seconds.

Fat Cats First
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/blog/2008/09/23/BL2008092301299.html

Does anybody think that a Palin/McCain administration would be different? Trickle-down economic policies do not work, but that doesn't stop Republicans from continually promoting them. What does that say about them? Well, for starters, it says that they don't care about you and me.

Dreams From the Nominees
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/09/23/AR2008092302590.html

It's true that adding a trillion bucks to the debt will have to somewhat temper the plans of both Obama and McCain. We didn't get into this mess overnight, and we won't get out of it in a short time, either ...

McCain Bites the Press
http://www.slate.com/id/2200715

Why are Republicans such paranoid and bitter people? Okay, I know that's too broad of a generalization, but it sure seems to apply to most of the GOPers that have reached national prominence in the last 40 years ...

Abortion, Catholic Sex Scandals, the Bishop of Scranton, and Joe Biden's Communion
http://www.usnews.com/articles/opinion/mashek/2008/09/23/abortion-catholic-sex-scandals-the-bishop-of-scranton-and-joe-bidens-communion.html?s_cid=et-0924

I'm sorry, but the Catholic Church leadership is simply out of touch, both with reality and their membership.

Sarah Palin's International Debut: All Friends, No Media
http://www.usnews.com/blogs/robert-schlesinger/2008/9/23/sarah-palins-international-debut-all-friends-no-media.html

Even the McCain campaign doesn't seem to believe that she's qualified ...

Red, Blue, Green: Cities That Vote Democratic Are Greener Than Republican Cities
http://www.usnews.com/blogs/fresh-greens/2008/9/23/red-blue-green-cities-that-vote-democratic-are-greener-than-republican-cities.html

I'm not sure which is less surprising, this or Clay Aiken admitting that he's gay.

Nader: Open the Debates for Third Party Candidates Like Bob Barr, Cynthia McKinney and Me
http://www.usnews.com/articles/opinion/2008/09/22/nader-open-the-debates-for-third-party-candidates-like-bob-barr-cynthia-mckinney-and-me.html?s_cid=et-0924

Nader is a quack ... and if it hadn't been for his Quixotic 2000 campaign, we would've been spared the last eight years of Cheney/Bush.
