What in the hell was wrong with John McCain in tonight's debate?
Did the pressure get to him? Behind in the polls, he had to win decisively tonight and put Obama on the ropes, but he didn't. Sure, 80%+ of respondents in a Faux News poll said that McCain "won," but what do you expect those sycophants to think? At best, McCain pulled off a tie -- and when you're behind, you have to do better than a that.
From his horrible choice of neckwear to the constipated look on his face, McCain came off horribly. There was the frozen smile that you just knew had behind it the thought, "I would stab you in the throat if I could."
Then there was the condescension ... and the thing that bothered me the most: he absolutely refused to look Barack Obama in the eye or even really acknowledge that he was even in the room. WHY? What brought on that contempt and lack of civility? Didn't Barack Obama win the nomination of his party, too?!
