First, allow me to say that the last week has made me seriously consider buying a Mac.
Last Friday, my computer came down with a wild virus of some kind. My virus protection software identified it, but it shut down Windows before I could do anything about it.
When I started to reboot the computer, Windows wouldn't start. All I got was a screen with the wallpaper -- but no icons.
To make a really, really, really long story much shorter, things look to be okay now. I've run every sort of malware removal program you can think of, upgraded my virus protection (free of charge), and spent a total of about 3 hours online with tech support. I think I aged about 6 months in the last week.

Change of Plans
With the election over, I'm not getting as many e-mails and comments on this blog ... so I'm going to back off of it a little bit and only post occasionally. If something big happens, I'll be sure to write about it and share some links. :-)
